Exen Esports in cooperation with Gradia Vocational College! Gradia's ICT students are running an Academy team as part of their on-the-job learning. They will run their own social media and get a chance to take a deeper look at running an organization

The whole Academy Team, Exen x Gradia social medias, and the subpage on Exen's webpage, are all run by the on-the-job-learning students. They gave out some opinions on the project.

"We have had a new type of an experience since basically no one has done this while on-the-job learning, at least in Finland. We have learned to look at our posts in a way that it gets more attention from for example potential sponsors, and on the side to play CS:GO better as a team. Learning about running an organization has been interesting, because there are so many different things to learn like, where the organization gets money, where the money goes, looking for sponsors and answering to all sorts of emails.”

"In the beginning of January when we started this I didn't have any expectations of the team, but during this month I have become impressed by the fact that everyone of the guys can do business related things. For the past few weeks when we have made plans for the upcoming tournament and the students have shown their work interest by doing work really diligently, since I have been really busy with my schedule. I was doubtful about the teenagers working motivation and if they were going to be lazy, but this month has proven me wrong. Working with these guys has been really pleasant and easy since you only have to tell them what to do, and the job gets done right away.”

Ex Sports in cooperation Gradian with! Gradian ICT students run their own Academy team and their own social media during the on-the-job learning period. At the same time, they also get a good idea of how the organization is run.

Academy team, social media and their own subpage Exen's are completely on the pages learning on the job existing students under control and they run them. They gave an opinion on the whole thing.

" We have had a unique opportunity, because probably no one else has done work like this during a work-study period, at least in Finland. We have learned to look at our social media posts in a different way, so that they get more attention from e.g. potential sponsors. While we run the academy, we train of CS:GO gaming, so that we get developed team play. We have also learned that there are many more things involved in running an organization than many people think, such as where we get the money to run everything, where the money goes, applying for sponsors and answering emails. "

" In January, when we started this, I had no information about the team, but during this month I have made sure that every jannu can do things related to business. The last couple of weeks, when the tournament has been planned and the Academy team has shown work efficiency by working hard, because I have many times threatened to have schedule problems. I was afraid that young people would have been more lazy and incapable, but the last month has proven my assumptions wrong. Working with these jannu has been nice and effortless, because you mostly need to tell them what they have to do and it gets done right away. "
