Why JYP?
JYP is a great organization/hockey club that has achieved a lot and still seems to be the only league team that is interested in playing 6v6, so JYP was an easy choice.
How long have you been playing?
NHL 16 was my first NHL game and I've been playing it ever since. In NHL 16 I also started playing the EASHL game mode, I started playing 2v2 games with my good friend and the current YMCA Esports NHL captain Antti Kuruwith n. A little later in the same game, 6v6 games came into play.
Where would you like to be in the future?
Watching JYP play in LähiTapiola Arena would be really cool!
Why the NHL?
The NHL has always been played/watched the most.
Do you have experience in the sport as a player?
It's not, but I started playing fut when I was 5-6 years younger.
How do you prepare for games? How much of the opponent should be observed / scouted before the game?
Normally, training prepares for the games and the opposition is monitored if necessary, but you already know pretty well in advance what is coming.
How many drivers go during the season?
2-3, you usually have to change it every time the left pin breaks, which is pretty easy for me, at least.
How many game hours will there be per week?
It depends a little on the week, but I would say around 10-20 hours.
Do you have any other hobbies?
There is no other than walking/jogging at the moment.
How is the psychological side, are there any pressures? Is it different to play the so-called at a public event than at home?
Maybe there was a bit of pressure when I was younger, but I've played so much of this game that I don't have any anymore. Playing at public events is a bit different, but the 100% plays there rather than at home.
How do you train as a team?
It varies, but I put in the same as myself, i.e. 10-20 hours a week.
Do you have a role model or idol?
On the right side, I would say that Zdeno Chara, but there is no one from the game world.
Where does your nickname come from? Is there some kind of story behind it?
My first nickname was "Ilmari30". It used to have my name and futis number, then I changed it to "iilmarii" because I didn't like how the numbers looked in my name anymore.
