Our goal is to locally develop the player pathway for digital gaming, and esports in particular, in Jyväskylä. Our aim is for our pathway to produce future talents and esports athletes for the world stage.

EXEN’s gaming camp offers an unforgettable experience for young people to kick off the summer holiday, 1–5 June 2026! Top-of-the-line gaming equipment, a safe and encouraging environment, and relaxed instructors. The camp is intended for 10–15 year olds, with a maximum of 20 participants.

Gaming takes place primarily on PC and PS5. In addition, there will be a driving simulator, VR experiences, and other activities.

EXEN’s comfortable and spacious gaming space provides an excellent setting for the camp.

Price €199, including supervision, lunches, and a camp t-shirt.

The spring season of the Minecraft Club and the Free Play Gaming Club is starting for ages 7–12 and 10–15!

Minecraft

Minecraft Club is intended for hobbyists and goal-oriented players aged 7–12.

Club full. You can sign up for the waiting list and will receive information about upcoming club sessions and camp dates.

In a safe gaming environment, the child/young person gets to learn teamwork and communication skills, as well as have adventures and build in Minecraft. The gaming equipment consists of EXEN’s high-performance gaming PCs. We use Minecraft Education licenses in our club activities, meaning participants do not need their own account; we create a shared EXEN Minecraft world, and the instructor arranges meaningful challenges for participants and responds to their wishes on a weekly basis.

Mondays, February 9 – May 25, 2026, 4:30 – 6:00 PM

Free Play Gaming Club

Free Play Gaming Club is intended for hobbyists and goal-oriented players aged 10-15.

In a safe gaming environment, the child/young person gets to learn teamwork and communication skills, compete and improve in the game of their choice. Participants can play their favorite game with quality coaching and new gaming friends. Whether the game is Fortnite, Roblox, or something else entirely, EXEN is the right place to come learn and grow. The gaming equipment consists of EXEN’s high-performance gaming PCs, PS5 consoles, a driving simulator, and VR equipment. Participation with your own gaming account, and participation for those under 12 years old, require parental consent. We arrange gaming stations and space according to participants’ age and game age ratings.

Why Gaming?

Gaming stirs up all kinds of feelings and is often a topic of debate; and not without reason! When done safely, with guidance and in a positive atmosphere, it can be a fantastic way to learn and grow. Playing together brings people closer, develops social skills, creates new friendships and encourages trying new things. In our clubs, the in-game challenges and tasks support concentration and problem-solving; and at their best, bring the joy of achievement into everyday life.

Parents

No need to worry, parents! Our gaming clubs and camps are designed to be safe, supervised environments where gaming takes place under clear rules and professional guidance. It is important to us that every participant enjoys themselves, learns and feels comfortable. Gaming isn’t just about staring at a screen; in our supervised activities, we pace the gaming sessions and include physical and energizing breaks. Our gaming activities develop children’s social, collaborative and problem-solving skills, create a meaningful hobby and build new friendships. We make sure that gaming is a positive and enriching pastime.

Guidelines for EXEN Club Members:

Respect others.
Praise and encourage others: Every one of us is welcome to come to the club exactly as they are.
Help your fellow members & be ready to learn new things. We welcome club members of all skill levels; whether you’re already more experienced or just discovering the world of gaming.
Make space for discussion: Listen to other club members and respect their opinions.
Apologize if you have caused a friend distress, whether intentionally or unintentionally.
Let’s keep the atmosphere positive! Each one of us influences it through our actions.

What to do if you encounter inappropriate behavior:

Intervene in the situation.
Tell a trusted adult: This could be, for example, the supervisor present or your own parent.
Situations can also be worked through together with the club supervisor; don’t hesitate to ask for help!

Frequently Asked Questions

Anyone interested in gaming is more than welcome to join! The Minecraft Club is for ages 7–12 and the Free Play Gaming Club is for ages 10–15. The gaming clubs and camps offer everyone a supervised environment to play on our top-of-the-range equipment; in a relaxed, safe and friendly setting.
Our gaming venue is already equipped with top-of-the-line gaming gear for everyone!
However, if you wish, you are welcome to bring your own peripherals (mouse, keyboard, controller, headphones, etc.).

We provide Minecraft Education licenses for our Minecraft club members, and EXEN’s own gaming accounts for the Free Play Gaming Club.

Participation in the Free Play Gaming Club with your own gaming account, and participation in the Free Play Gaming Club for those under 12 years old, require parental consent.
EXEN’s gaming club and camp coaches and supervisors are adult gaming enthusiasts and professionals with experience in youth supervision and competitive gaming. It is important to us to provide a safe and responsible environment where every participant can develop at their own level; both as a player and as a team player.

Our coaches support young people’s individual development in gaming skills as well as in teamwork, communication and building team spirit. Sessions place emphasis on collaboration, respect for others and the positive values of gaming culture.

Many of our supervisors also have a background as competitive players or working on esports projects, meaning that at camps and clubs participants can also explore the various aspects of professional gaming in a safe and inspiring way.
