EXEN Refreshes Its Brand – New Logo and Name Strengthen the Direction

EXEN kicks off summer 2025 with renewed energy and a fresh look. Over the past five years, EXEN has grown into an established name in the Finnish esports scene – and now it’s time to take the next step in our visual journey.

Our new logo brings clarity, edge, and a modern aesthetic. The bold combination of black and purple, along with a simplified yet recognizable form, makes the logo approachable while still powerful. The familiar octopus/kraken remains – now more focused and determined than ever.

We wanted to create a visual identity that reflects EXEN’s growth and future direction. The new look communicates pride in our past and excitement for what’s ahead,” says CEO Patrik Falck.

At the same time, we are retiring the name Exen esports. Going forward, the brand will simply be known as EXEN – a name that reflects clarity, strength, and versatility. This renewed identity strengthens both our communication and our collaboration with partners.

EXEN is more than just a competitive esports team – it represents a community, an experience, entertainment, and a network. The name itself comes from the words: Esports, eXperience, Entertainment, and Network. These four pillars form the foundation of EXEN’s diverse work and ambition at the core of gaming and esports culture.

“EXEN has always been more than just a gaming organization. The new brand makes that identity more visible and recognizable to the outside world,” Falck adds.

Alongside the rebrand, EXEN is launching an ambitious development project to rebuild our Counter-Strike division. This isn’t a quick fix – it’s a carefully planned 1.5-year journey to create a sustainable path toward international excellence.

We will form two teams: a main roster and a development team, both of which will be supported with coaching, structure, and long-term planning to build something lasting.

Instead of rushing in like a scooter on the highway, we aim to build a sustainable foundation – for player development and for the entire structure of competitive operations here in Jyväskylä. We’ll focus on methods and models that help players grow into professionals, while keeping a steady pace in our overall growth,” says COO Tuomas Rauhansalo.

From the beginning, EXEN’s strategy has been to build a sustainable business base. This allows us to invest in esports in a long-term, purposeful way – not just with short-term hype, but by continuously developing our everyday operations.

“We have a clear vision for the future of Finnish player development, and how we want to support young talents. The CS project is a key piece of that bigger picture.”

More news about teams, coaching, and partner collaborations will be announced in the coming months – stay tuned on EXEN’s channels.
