EXEN has been closely following the development of Counter-Strike 2 ever since its release. While our CS2 operations have been relatively quiet for the past couple of years, we are now ready to step in with a fresh approach.
At the core of our new team are players from Jyväskylä – four out of five of our representatives hail from the Central Finland region. Two of the players are also familiar faces from previous seasons of EXEN’s academy roster. This strong local foundation brings tight team spirit, a shared gaming culture, and genuine commitment to the lineup.
“We’ve built a long-term development project across all of EXEN’s operations, including our CS2 team, with the goal of progressing steadily from ESEA Intermediate to Advanced,” says team coordinator Jonne Kortelainen.
EXEN is also investing heavily in coaching. Our new coaching staff consists of three talented individuals just beginning their coaching path, bringing expertise not only in-game development but also in performance and overall player wellbeing. Through these investments, we aim to build sustainable growth—both individually and as a team.
“Our goal is to advance on both national and international stages. We’re aiming for events like the Finnish Championship (eSM) finals at LanTrek in September, as well as other major domestic tournaments and leagues,” says team IGL Aaro ”aaroJ” Junnikkala.
In addition, we’re making a return to our Twitch.tv channel with CS2 broadcasts starting at the beginning of the new season. We warmly welcome all our fans to tune in and follow the team’s journey through streams and matches. Be sure to follow our channel [here].
This marks a new beginning for EXEN’s CS2 division. Welcome aboard the journey. #EXENCS2
