EXEN Academy is taking a well-deserved spring break, says founder and CEO Patrik "FallA" Falck of our local academy team's decision.

EXEN's academy team will have an intermediate season in spring 2024. The young players' busy schedules and school and work schedules created enough question marks for the spring that together with the organisation a solution was found to support their mental wellbeing and fitness. At the same time, the focus of EXEN's background personnel on developing services for the new sauna and games room in Jyväskylä and preparing for event productions led to the decision to hold an interim period, when possibly replacement players could not have been found, let alone prepared for the academy team's activities.

EXEN will reflect on the year-long journey with the academy players. The main thing is to learn about how we want to work with and support young players and the team locally in the future, and what kind of team we want to build. However, the goal is to grow promising players to the top of Finland and the world, locally.

For EXEN, the interim period for the academy team means that as an organisation we can prepare properly for the early autumn season, and do local development work on player pathways. EXEN will open a new recruitment call for academy activities before the autumn 1st ESEA season. We are also constantly looking at expanding the academy to other games, so that all players with ambition have a pathway to the top.

We ask that our followers and the esports scene consider eyes and ears open for the future team, and interested players and teams can contact us. We are particularly looking for players with a willingness to commit to a longer term project.
